How house calls work

With a house call, the groomer comes, sets up their station, and does the groom right in your home. It’s a lower cost alternative to mobile grooming vans, and allows your pet to stay in a much lower stress environment. We provide everything needed, spruce up your pet, clean up our station, and then continue on to the next pet.

How much space is needed for a groom?

For an at home groom with a dog or cat, all that is needed is space to set up my 2ft x 3ft grooming table. I will also need a space to give the bath (bath tubs or showers work great), a water source, and a working electrical outlet.

How can I schedule?

I have four methods of contact available to schedule grooms. Calling or texting my business phone at 616-403-1152. Emailing at littlecritterspetgrooming@gmail.com. Or using out online booking system, which is linked here. Note that some services, like mat removals, can’t be booked through the online system because I need more information to estimate how long they will take.

How much will it cost?

The cost is determined by the distance I need to travel to reach your home, the size/coat type of your pet, and what services you need done. Generally there is a $7-12 charge for me to come out to your home, and spend time setting up/tearing down my grooming set-up (with $7 for people in Grand Rapids and slightly higher costs for the surrounding areas like Lowell and Rockford). I put all costs for individual grooms up on my online booking site based on the breed or size of your pet.

What types of animals do you groom?

A majority of my clients are cats and dogs. I am also able to to blow outs, nail trims, and mat removals for rabbits. I’ve also done body clips for goats, donkeys, and horses who are so old they no longer shed out on their own. If you’d like help with a more unique critter feel free to call or text me. Sadly I do not yet have the training/equipment to do larger fiber animals like sheep and angora goats.

Free De-mat and Nail Program

Once per month I do a program where I will de-mat a pet for free. This is done for people in the community who don’t have the funds for a major groom, but want to get their pet back on track with grooming and need some help to get there. These grooms can be done in your home or in my own work space (if you don’t have a suitable space in your living area). I can also help with overgrown nails.
